The english translation is “Living tino rangatiratanga through strong, healthy, vibrant and prosperous whānau” This vision is a reflection of our past history to a time when our people once thrived as individuals, as whānau, hapu, and Iwi. This vision gives us a directional purpose in our mahi at Te Kōhao Health and can only be achieved when one is fully committed to contributing.
Miro ō te Ora, formerly known as Te Hā o Kiritahi, has been serving our whānau for 15 years as Te Kōhao Medical Clinic. In 2009, when we moved into our Whānau Ora Health and Wellness Centre, Kiingi Tuheitia gifted us the name “Miro ō te Ora.”
