On Saturday, 22nd June 2024, the Matariki In The City event was held at The Pavilion, Hamilton Gardens, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The event went off without a hitch, drawing a massive crowd eager to celebrate and connect with the vibrant culture of the Mighty Waikato.

The kai was in abundance and absolutely delicious, satisfying every palate with an array of Maaori and Pasifika kai. One of the standout features of the event was the Hauora Hub, a key component for Healthy Families - Te Ngira & Te Kohao Health, offering a comprehensive range of health services. Attendees benefited from free Eye Screening, Heart Health Checks, Hearing Health Checks, Cancer Screening, Childhood Immunisations, Adult Vaccinations, and Dietitian Consultations.
